I woke up at 5 a.m. this morning – too early for the time I had gone to bed the night before, but I couldn’t go back to sleep. I tossed and turned another half-hour before giving up trying to go back to sleep – so I headed down stairs, put the coffee on and took the dog out.
This is my routine. I’ve done it for years, but for some reason there was an anxiousness about the day and I couldn’t put my finger on it.
I worked at home until about 11 a.m. and then headed to the station uptown. I’m a full time reporter for the Martinsville Bulletin, but I still own two radio stations and a low power television station. I give them as much attention as possible on the weekend and they usually take most of my weekend hours.
